It takes more to be a Project Manager than just PM courses. Having strong soft skills like leadership and communication, a good business sense and being able to self-motivate are all important qualities to have when running your own team.
Try some of these websites – they provide online courses in many different subjects so, why not brush up on your leadership skills or your ability to solve problems effectively!
Staying up to date
It is important to keep up with what is going on in the IT Project Management industry. One of the easiest ways to do this is to use a news/blog aggregator - we use Feedly. It is a great tool where you can follow multiple blogging sites that cover everything that is a hot topic in your industry. There are facts, trends, opinions, discussions, reports and more.
It’s helpful to keep everything in one place so you can access it all easily and stay up to date with industry related news.

Sometimes it can be hard to keep that work/life balance. Problems at work can become too much and that can follow you home which equals more stress.
If you’ve not heard of TEDTalks, you really need to get to know them! They are great sources of inspiration and really get you thinking. Google also has their own platform, similar to TEDTalks, called Talks at Google – check these out too.
