2020 marks another four years since the last leap year. What does this mean? It means we all get an extra day this February!
There is a lot that can be achieved in just one day and we have come up with some ideas on how you can take advantage of yours.
Feel free to let us know what you’re planning if we’ve missed it off our list!
- Read a good book
As this year’s leap day is a Saturday, work is hopefully the last thing on your mind, so we found a great book entitled ‘The Leap Year Project’, written by Victor Saad. When you’ve finished reading, maybe you’ll accept his challenge too.
- Catch up
If you’re working on a project, an extra day can only do good?! It is probably a good chance to make sure that your project team are all on the same page and working towards the same goals and objectives for the project. Why not book a catch-up meeting, have some coffee (you do have the extra time!) and ensure you’re are all heading the same way!
- Try something new
You’ve probably had this on your list for a while but not had chance because you’re always running out of time! Well, now you’ve got an extra day this year, take advantage and try something new. It could be something simple like a new recipe or implementing a new recruitment technique to improve results.
- The Leap Year proposal
Although it’s more common, nowadays, for a woman to propose to her partner, we couldn’t miss out this historical tradition! So, ladies or gentlemen, if you’re waiting for the perfect moment, February 29th is your moment!
- Leap Year Luck
As the 29th February is considered by some as lucky, maybe it’s a great time to apply for roles you are particularly interested in. If you’ve been struggling to get to that crucial interview stage, your luck could be in! Most importantly, Feb 29th is a Saturday so, you’ve got plenty of time to apply!
