Your new role of Project Director:
The Project Director is accountable for the successful control, delivery and profitability of all assigned projects. A key element of this role will be effective communication with Customers in order to develop strategic relationships with board level stakeholders to ensure the ongoing development of long-term strategic partnerships.
The Project Director will report to the Consultancy Director but will also report to the Practice Directors on the status and profitability of projects.
What we are looking for:
• Being the Steering representative on projects which include:
o Representing the company at Customer board meetings
o Being the escalation point and resolution owner of significant (escalated) project issues
o Attending on-site Customer meetings including dispute resolution and negotiation of commercial settlements
o Ensuring budget control and milestone progress of projects
o Establishing and maintaining Executive (C-Level) relationships at the customer
o Regular validation and review with the project managers to ensure the project plan remains on track
o Frequent review of project team performance and ownership to add, remove or change resources on projects (consultation with Practice Directors)
• Line Management of assigned Project Managers
• Mentoring and development of Project Managers
• Presales presentations and feed into project proposal estimations in liaison with Practice Directors
• Feedback into strategic initiatives of the companies’ organisation
• Feedback into PMO for Continuous improvement of the process
